Roses are red, violets are blue, Robin Wood Flowers was great, and thank you too! On July 27th UCP had the opportunity to bring two participants to Robin Wood Flowers in Norwood and receive a tour of the building as well as assist in making two flower arrangements.

Brittany Moore and Connie Houser were more than willing to help pick out the flowers for their arrangement as well as learn about the many different types of flowers Robin Wood has to offer. Not only did they learn about flowers, they came back to UCP smelling like roses! After being in the radio industry for over 28 years, “Rockin’ Robin,” host of Dawn Patrol on WEBN from 1975- 1995, decided to turn to her passion for flowers and open her own flower shop. The business has seen enormous growth over the past several years and works with many other companies in the Cincinnati area on different events. Robin appeared on Oprah in 2007 to talk about her transition from the world of radio to becoming a florist. She said, “I come to work as early as I can possibly get my eyes open in the morning. I happily work 12 hours a day, and it’s really ok, because I love it.”

Thank you so much Robin Wood Flowers!
