VOLUNTEER TRAINING
Orientation to United Cerebral Palsy of Great Cincinnati (UCP) :
All volunteers are asked to attend a general orientation. Orientation is designed to provide volunteers with background and practical information that will help them identify their own role within the overall function of United Cerebral Palsy, and to better understand how they can contribute to the purpose of the program. The better a volunteer understands the operation and procedures of UCP and its volunteer program, the better equipped they will be to contribute productively.
Office Training
Office training is brief and will familiarize new volunteers with UCP office procedures and specific duties of the volunteer work assignment. This training may be completed on the first day of work assignment.
Specific Area Training
Volunteers working specific assignments such as visiting friends, speaker’s bureau or anyone who represents UCP will be scheduled as needed.
